just acquired a savaged ][gs...got questions.

hi all.
some friends of mine that work at apple gave me an old ][gs that they no
longer
wanted. i opened it up the other day, and took a look around. since i've
only
dealt with macs, i have no idea what to expect to find. it appears that
there is
no hard drive, no external floppy drive, no fan... the connector marked
keyboard
is not connected to anything. there does appear to be an adb port
connector in the back. basically what i would like to do is to turn it
into an email terminal in my bedroom. i want to run a 10t connector
between it and my quadra800. is text-based stuff about all that i will be
able to use. can i browse the web? ftp? nntp? what ethernet cards should
i look into? since i don't plan to use it for much more than a "dummy"
terminal, pardon the expression, the lack of floppy and hard drives
shouldn't be a big problem.also, i have absolutely no documentation on
this machine at all. anything you guys can provide will be greatly
appreciated.
