Corrected correction: On a ][e, you need only solid-apple/control/RESET.
On my ][e, one needs only solid-apple/RESET due to a minor keyboard
modification, but that is the exception rather than the rule 8-)
The IIgs uses both apples for a system test. On an UNENHANCED ][e, using
both apples will perform the system test, but will also generate a very
annoying squeal from the speaker.
