They aren't GS/OS errors - they are errors from the System Loader toolset.

(GS/OS is just the operating system - the System Loader, while
attached to GS/OS, is more correctly regarded as part of the Toolbox,
which sits on top of the operating system.)

Yep, those errors are correct.  They both mean you have a damaged
executable file, or a file which is not actually an OMF executable file
at all, which has been set to the wrong filetype.

A "segment not found" error could also refer to a missing run-time
library file.  These are very rare, so this is not likely.
