The printer has a "DIP SWITCH" which sets up several options (refer to 
the user manual). One of the options is for the printer to supply a "line 
feed" after each "carriage return". Some interface cards have switches, 
and may include the same option. Many programs have options for the 
printer, and also may offer the LF option. So, it is possible to get 
three lines feeds after each carriage return. Or, if you don't select 
that option in at least one of those locations, you can end up with the 
printer not feeding paper at all but just printing on the same line over 
and over.

So, you need to decide which place to select the LF option and don't 
select it in the other places. I prefer to have the printer supply the 
line feed since I do a lot of printing from the keyboard (usually program 
listings).
