I'm not saying that you weren't givin the run around, heck I've
been waiting 4 months for a ROM Upgrade for my RAMFast Rev. C from Alltech
Electronics. First they told me I'd have it any day and then they told
me they didn't know when they could get it. Apparently they don't have it
in stock and Sequential is being difficult about shipping them one. (As
a side note, if anyone representing Sequential is reading this, could
they please tell me why it's taking so long). Anyway, my point is that
I've ordered from them dozens of times before and they've always come
throgh faithfully. Sometimes misunderstandings happen, and maybe your
order did get screwed up. And yes, maybe they didn't help you out.
That's happen to me before -- except with a company by the name of Other
World Computing (formerly LRO). How they stay in business is beyond my
comprehension. What got my attention was your language in the matter.
If you had stated in a less hostile manner that you had problems with
them, you probably wouldn't have received such a response from everyone.
EGO Systems is one of the last companies to support the GS and all of us
loyal to our computers can't allow bad things to be said about those who
support our computer.

Well, was this the first time you ordered from him? You could've
been that you just had a bad first experience. I mean, I wouldn't be
defending Diz if he was as bad as you said. But, as you can see from the
many posts defending him, his company performs to the best of its
ability. Often going above and beyond the call of duty when fullfilling
orders. You should've give him another chance to fix the matter, and I'm
saying that as one Apple II user to another. I have nothing against you,
I just want to help rectify this matter.

: [B] Why do business with a cretin when other companies actually care?

Umm, I don't understand the question above (it's late and I'm
tired), but I have one for you. Did you call Diz like he said in one of
his posts on this thread. He's willing to help you, give him a chance to
regain your trust.

Actually, about any mail order business I've dealt with has done
this at one time or another. It happens some times. The best thing to
do is to call them up and try to work it out. Not doing anything about
it is the worst thing to do.
As far as I know, EGO Systems is in no dire financial trouble.
(Diz do you care to back me up on this). They've been doing some
gap-bridging programs for the Mac to make data exchange much easier.
They also are still selling a wide variety of GS products. It was GS+
Magazine that proved to be unprofitable and could no longer be
continued. (Although if I won the lottery, I'd give Diz a share to bring
it back...I miss it). I realize that you've basically made your decision
concerning EGO Systems and that anything I say will probably not sway
your opinion of them, but hopefully others reading this will trust Diz.

At any rate, I hope you continue using your Apple // and have
better luck in the future.
