Help identify mystery piece on 4-meg mem card

I have a 4-meg memory card of unknown manufacture.  It worked fine; then, 
after attempting to print out of PrintShop, the computer crashed, never 
to be rebooted again without a new memory card--sort of [see below].

There are four banks of chips, upper ones numbered U1 thru U16, looking 
at the front of the card and counting left to right.  U1-U8 seem to be 
bank 4;  U9-16, bank 3.  The lower banks are numbered U17-U32, where 
U17-U24 are bank 1.  The board is labeled at the top RAMPRO //GS 4 
MEGABYTE MEMORY EXPANSION    PN-2000-10.  To the right of the card are 
some more chips, and a switch bank for configuring the card to use 1-4 
megs.  Above the top banks of chips are capacitors labeled C1 through C8;  
above the 
bottom banks are C12 thru C19.  C9 is above U36, C11 above U35, C20 
above U34.  At the extreme left of the card between the upper and lower 
banks 
of chips there is what appears to be a capacitor--this shows a resistance 
of 1.8 ohms, has its yellow top burned completely off, and appears to 
have a cylinder of carbon inside--and is labeled C10.  At the extreme 
right of the card is another part identical in appearance, same 
resistance, marked C21.  Its appearance is intact.  It also shows a 
resistance of 1.8 ohms.

I have checked all the chips.  They test okay.  If I set the switches to 
use only 2 megs on the card [1 on 2 off], it appears to function without 
problem.  When I set the switches to 3 or 4 megs, I can't boot past the 
thermometer.

 What is the part that is burned?  What can I use to replace it?  Is 
there something else I can/need to test?

FYI:  When I replaced this card with a new Seq.Sys. 4-meg card, there was 
no problem in the Rom01, which continues to function normally with 
Zip9/32, RamFAST 3.01e.
