Can you access the font from some other application? If the font file is
messed up or there is a font family number conflict with some other font,
then it should produce problems when accessed under Platinum Paint or
Teach. (You might also try viewing the font and its specs using Font
Doctor. If the font family number turns out to be 0 or 254, try changing
it to something weird, like 713.)
P.S. Come to think of it, I don't have a shell either!
