I'll be interested in a SS when it can do what the VOC is doing for me.
Maybe like S-Vid/RGB input/output too.  Not much other uses that I would
need an SS for right now.

I think the SS would be in much bigger demand if it sold (and designed)
itself as a performance/functionality upgrade (that you must have like
an accelerator/HD, GNO(?) :) instead of eye-candy as it is now.
