Close, but not quite. Escom bought the remains of C=, pasted the Commodore
name on their PC clones, and created a seperate company called
Amiga Technologies GmbH, and have A1200, A4000/040, & A4000/060's rolling off
the line as we speak (and no, it's not -green-..its the same tower case as the
old A4000T), with the Power Amiga 604 in development, havingh a late '96 release
planned.
Okay, I'll save myself from -complete- irrelevance by saying that they are
talking with Apple about licensing 680x0 emulation code for the PowerPC-equipped
Amigas.
And yes, there is talk of reviving the C64 for Chinese & Eastern Europe markets
via a licensing agreement, or some such. I can't possibly see how they can be
serious, but hey, whatever.
(Yeah, so we're vocal bastards... But as the Apple//e once displayed on the
cover of some magazine 'Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated')
Anyhow...someone wanna post the number of ABC Direct? My //e needs a 3.5"
floppy controller.
