Yep I always have found the same thing.  Apple files handled by
my mac always come away with forks and since I only have 8 bit 
apple computer, my computer coke on them.  Even disk formatted by my
mac don't usually work since there is even some sort of resource
fork on them too.  It's all very exasperating!

I so far have just had to live with it though I've had others say
they have solved the problem.  But they may simply have a gs.
