IIgs self test with no keyboard
Does anyone know if it is possible to initiate the IIgs self-test
without using the keyboard? By looking at the schematic, it appears
that the burn-in edge connector may have this capability, but I
don't know which VDC signal (or ground) the "finger" would be
connected to. In addition to that, I don't know the numbering
sequence of that edge connector, as it is not marked on the motherboard.
The schematic _does_ mention that the DIAGSW is on pin 9 with pin 10
tied in, but there are no further references. DIAGSW is also tied
to the Mega II, and a 10k resistor between it and +5 VDC. This
leads me to suspect that shorting it to ground will enable the self-test,
but this is pure speculation.
BTW, this is a ROM 01, and the schematic pages are 2 and 4 (for the
256k IIgs) of the 2nd Ed Hardware Ref.
Thanks in advance for any help.
