Best for my new software collection?

I'm just getting back into my //e, and well I have a very limited 
collection of software. (have appleworks 1.2, sneeze, binscii, and one or 
two games)

So I'm looking toward you all to possibly tell me some of the most 
usefully and "gotta have programs" out there. I've been to grind, etc..
....way too much crap, and I'm not sure what to get.

config:
//e enhanced, 1 drive [my duo broke], and the standard oter stuff [mouse, 
ssc, 14.4 modem, etc...]

uses:
I use it for word proc..database..etc [appleworks 1.2] [any way I can 
modify my apple works to include a spell check or anything...I added 
mouse support w/ macroworks]



** So please help, this is gonna be used for U-Wisconsin Army ROTC functions.
   [yes us cadets are poor]
   Any suggestions or donations of software would be greatly appreciated!
