	That's correct, the latter is internally known at Apple as the 
ImageWriter II/L. Another nice design featured a change of the internal
powersupply, the newer one comsumes less power and weighs less, making
the printer noticably lighter. You can also identify the newer printer
by the power-icon printed above the on/off switch (a circle with vertical
line inside). 

	The older ImageWriter II looks identical, unless you look closely
for the power-icon on the front panel or examine the location of serial 
and power connectors in back. The very original ImageWriter II is snow-white
in color (not platinum) and there is no printed ID on the cover, just the
Apple logo by itself. I've heard a rumour of a beige ImageWriter II, although
I find that unlikely (my ImageWriter I is beige, however it was introduced
when the Apple III Plus was).
