I assume that the "thing" you are waiting for is crashing. Yes, I agree,
the P5/90 is indeed far faster at doing that than the Mac. But if you are
actually waiting for a USEFUL TASK to be completed then, last I checked,
the people in PC Week (which is biased towards PC's!) said that the 132
Mhz 604 based PowerMac "left the 133 Mhz Pentium in the dust." And most
of us cannot afford SGI's, nor is there a large base of commercial
software available for normal computer users to buy for them. Otherwise I
agree that they are good machines. The Wintels, however, are simply poor
performers period.
