Re: Zip Chip ][e vs. RamFAST
As I've seen a couple of other people mention, the conflict
between the RamFAST and the Zip Chip can be solved only by
having your board modified by Sequential.
Most high-speed 65C02's and the 65802 in emulation mode do
not obey the RDY signal on a write (like the original 6502).
The RamFAST expects the CPU to obey the RDY signal on both
reads and writes.
The modification involes a trace cut, a jumper installed
and a revised fuse map for the PAL that's nearest the Apple
bus connector.
I had my RamFAST Rev. C so modified when I installed a 65802
in my //e.
