I owned a Franklin in High School (which was in Africa) and played
with it a lot; learned to program, and so on, using it.  It was too
big to cart all the way back to the 'States when I moved here for
college (and to find a wife, get a job, settle down, but I hadn't been
planning on all that), so I bought a Mac in college.  I purchased my
second Mac last August, but just re-entered the Apple // arena by
buying (stealing, really) m y brother's //e.

I'm planning to mess with some hardware stuff on it.  Where else can
you find a machine with 7 expansion slots where you can find source
code (or generate it) for the operating system?  Its simplicity is art
itself!
