The problem with menu bar clocks is in the toolbox routines that actually
read the clock. Greg Templeman's II Not Disturb will intercept clock
reads and do them cleaner and faster. Otherwise, the only cure is to
disable menu bar clocks. If there is a Spectrum friendly one, then it
must be allowing Spectrum to turn it off when going on line. I would like
to hear of such a one myself.
