I have all three (Design Master, Genesys, and Foundation).

DM is useful, but *extremely* limited.  Genesys has the best (and most)
custom WYSIWYG editors, but it lacks support for any resources introduced
past System 5.0.4.  Foundation is probably the most flexible of the three,
and has the most potential, but it requires you to know a lot more about
resources than most beginners would know.

Genesys and Foundation together can be a great combo, but if I were just
starting out again, I'd get Genesys first.  Then maybe add Foundation if I
became serious enough about it.

Speaking of Foundation.... whatever happened to the group of people who
were going to take over updating it (The Phoenix group, or whatever they
were called??)
