The problem I've encountered with Apple IIc cables, and non-Apple II 
specific places, is that we (Apple IIers) number the DIN-5 end 
differently than everybody else.

IIc male connector pin assignments, looking from the pin end of the
male connector:
 
 1           5  This is how we do it
   2      4
       3

The connectors themselves (at least the ones I buy) order the pins 
differently.

Don't ya just *love* standardization?
