Thanx for your reply Soenke, but what I'd really like to know is if it would 
be possible to access the main Ram in the GS a la Noise Tracker, SoniqTracker,
Shellplay etc.    I do think this is a fairly far-fetched idea due to all the 
timing required for midi (especially pitch bends!), but it would be FANTASTIC!
