For the /// it is just ctrl-reset to reboot.

I just powered up my ///. it clicks the speaker twice, then immediately
attempts to boot the internal drive. <bangs the head twice if there's
no disk, and displays RETRY on the screen>.
Not sure exactly how far yours is getting before failure.. hope this
helps you track it down.
