I have the same problem with another font.
Background:
My font is Beffle. I have some bitmapped versions and a TrueType
version. I don't remember where I got the bitmapped versions, however,
the TrueType version came from NAUG's BBS if memory serves.
My original bitmapped Beffle fonts have an ID of 2419. The Pointless
generated bitmapped fonts have an ID of 1258. (Thank you Font Factory
GS!)
Questions:
1. Which number is correct?
a. If 1258 then Seven Hills' Font Factory can change my
original bitmapped fonts - no problem.
b. If 2419 is correct then I don't have a clue on how to
change a TrueType font. Are there utilities to do this?
Other than a sector editor? If a sector editor is the only
way then I'd like to see a detailed procedure in the FAQ -
and of course on my HD ;-)
2. After removing all of the 1258 fonts (for the nonce) and
and rebooting, I still see two Beffle entries in my font list
for GraphicWriter III and AppleWorks GS. How do I nuke them?
(I tried removing the invisible files: Font List and ??? from
the Font directory. No help. Is a fire the only solution?)
I do understand that once I get rid of the double entries of Beffle
(that some kind soul will tell me how to do), that I can simply nuke
the 2419 Beffle font files and generate all of the 2419 point sizes
from the TrueType "1258 TrueType source," however, I'm trying to get an
understanding of the process here so that I can deal with such things
in a more rational way in the future.
Kind Regards,
