caps lock key problems...

what a wonderful week...

it would appear my caps lock key is dead and stuck in the 'lock' state, 
no matter which position the key is in.  (this is on a gs adb keyboard, btw)
is there a software solution (an init or a patch) that will change it so 
the caps lock key is always 'unlocked', no matter what position the 
actual key is in.  alternatively, i can crack open the keyboard and make 
a hardware mod if i knew exactly what i was looking for...

any help is appreciated...my pinky is getting tired of holding down the 
shift key :)
