Re: Kensington System Saver?

Got a memory board and another card or two? Get hot weather where you are?
Well, if you wanbt to avoid those lockups that occur to us hot weather users,
then you'll need to cool off those chips somehow...maybe as simple as running
with the top off, but I use a System Saver and haven;t had those annoying
crashes and 0911 messages since I put it in...we get heat and humidity here
in the Pittsburgh area...anything over about 90 deg. F. used to cause my
machine to crash...of course, I set up a box fan to keep me cool too, and
that helps cool the machine too...you'll be able to feel the heat of the
memory chips just by touching the right side of the cpu box near the front of
the
machine after it's been running for a while...of course the Kensington SS
is set up to draw air through the machine from bottom to top and also helps
to cool the monitor isf it is mounted on top of the box...watch out for
noisy fans, though, the brearing i bad if it can be heard and you'll need
a new fan for the unit to get max efficiency and minimum sound disturbance....
