Are you using ProTERM 3.x?  if so, under Misc:Preferences:More,
where it says "Attributes to display in inverse:", uncheck some
attributes, and then you will be able to tell what the current
link is.  Particularily, I believe lynx tries to use bold to
specify a link that is not selected.
