I have seen this problem before or at least a similar problem.  ProDOS 8
programs expect to reside on the first two partitions of any drive that is
mapped to a particular slot.  It sounds like you need to open your RamFast
Utilities and make sure the partition that your ProDOS 8 programs resides
in is mapped to a slot.  GSOS will not have a problem if a partition is
not mapped to a slot but ProDOS 8 programs will.  I hope this helps.  If
