Re: IIC External "Power Brick" Disaster --- Help!
P.S.:
This is a followup. So far, just one reader has sent a comment;
more are solicited.
II+/IIE POWER SUPPLY TO SUBSTITUTE FOR BLOWN IIC EXTERNAL BRICK?
================================================================
I have several II+/II+ power supplies, which give 12V DC and 5 V DEC.
The IIc external brick is rated at 15 volts, but I suspect that 12 volts
should work. Possibly the 15 VDC rating was applied so that the IIC
could be operated from 12V DC car batteries, which vary in voltage as
high as 15 volts.
No that I have three blown IIC external power bricks, could I attach
the IIC DC cable to the 12 V line on the II+/IIE power supply?
The II+/IIe power supply gives 1.5 amps at 12 volts ---- is that
enough to power the IIC???
Would there be any way to feed the 5V line directly into a IIC?
On e of the copper fingers probably takes it...
Anyone have the pin-out for the IIC DC power plug??? (Voltage readings
pin-out).
