GIF View cannot load interlaced GIFs, that's probably why you are having 
trouble with some pictures. I think it also has problems with some GIF 
extensions like comments.

Jonah Stich (sp?) wrote a GIF --> 3200 converter that works pretty well. 
It also converts to greyscale and standard colors.

Your best bet is probably SuperConvert. It's a commercial program, you 
can get it through mail order or directly from Seven Hills. This program 
can load and convert many kinds of pictures, including GIF.
