Null modem cable

Could someone PLEASE tell me the PROPER PIN CONFIGURATION for a IIgs
to IBM NULL MODEM CABLE!!!
I already have a 25 foot long cable that works one way IBM-->IIgs. If
I can get a hold of a diagram or pin listing for a working 8 pin mini-DIN
(standard IIgs serial port) to RS-232 (DB-25) cable, I can get the one I have
repaired. I've had some wierd experinces with null modem cables before.
The last one I had was a mini-DIN to DB-9 (RS-449???) which only
worked if I put a 9 pin to 25 pin adapter on it, which was very for me to
believe, but it's the truth. Given that experience the problem probably lies
in a pin or two being wired wrong. The problem might be that in order to get
a null modem cable I have to describe my IIgs as a Mac (I hate having to do
it, but even the sales reps at local Apple dealerships look at me funny when I
say "Apple IIgs").
On the other hand it may be that the cable is just to long for the
IIgs' serial port to handle. I've heard conflicting informnation on what
lengths certain cables can be. If it turns out the cables to long, I can get
the cable shortened, but I'd rather check the pin configuration first.
Besides, I prefer "My IIgs" as far away from "my ibm" as possible.
