Do you have AppleTalk enabled on the Mac Chooser? If not, select it,
reboot, and give it a shot. If that isn't the case, make sure that you
have all of the AppleTalk files in your System folder (might want to
use the Installer), and make sure that they're not "inactive." You also
might need a straight-through cable for the connection; I'm not sure if
a regular cable will do the trick, although I suspect that it doesn't
matter.
