Simple IIGS-Mac network - boy i feel stupid

Hi Net,

I'm in the process of building a REALLY simple LocalTalk network. I have
enabled everything that has the name "network" or "appleshare" in it :), but I
still can't log in as a user on the mac. Can anyone help?

The setup is as follow:
Mac:
Sharing Setup: file sharing enabled, program linking, too (but nonsense, I know
:) )
Network CP: LocalTalk
Users & Groups: <Guest> with all rights
File Sharing Monitor: shows that my HD can be shared

IIGS:
Unfortunately, I have damaged system disks and thus had to copy some files from
an old system 6.0 developer CD (notably the AppleShare FST)
The AppleShare control panel shows no ApplTalk zones - everything is
blank...dammit :)
Slots: slot 1 & 7 set to appleTalk
I have a serial cable (the one from the printer) plugged into the printer
ports.

I'm an idiot when it comes to networks. However, if there's a quick fixfor my
problem, I'd appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot,

henrik
