ImageWriter on AppleTalk from GS Help??

I have my ImageaWriter II in the network with my MAC and a couple of old
GS's attached.  I can get the Imagewriter to print from all GS/OS
programs, but I cannot from ProDOS 8.  Can these programs  (ie AppleWorks,
PrintShop GS) be used over the localtalk net to print.  Or is there some
way around this.
