Is it an Imagewriter II with the AppleTalk option card in it?  If not,
forget it, since even another Mac won't be able to print over the net to
it.  (The StyleWriter has software to do this, however.) I have no idea,
but would expect that there is an Appletalk Imagewriter driver for the
IIgs, to let you talk to an optioned IWII. 

The IWII AppleTalk option card is still available as far as I know, from
at least one of the usual Mac mail-order places.  A friend of mine got one
last year, and it cost a little more than a hundred bucks.
