Have you tried booting into ProDOS-8, by which I mean entirely bypassing
(not loading) GS/OS? Will AW5 run if you do that?
If not, then I would suspect that your Zip 14/64 was causing the problem.
I have run AW5 on four different GS's, some with Zip accelerators up to
9/64, and have had no problems like you describe.
Eric: Have you tried running AW5 from ProSel-16 rather than from Finder?
Works for me (and others).
