Re: 2qwk in Zip format. Why?

RTFM.
it says something to the effect of this:
Since QWK packets are normally encoded in .ZIP format,
You will need a .ZIP extractor to use them.
Because of that, we feel it is legitimate to compress
this software in .ZIP format.
it's Pkzip, or compatible... from the IBM world. i know certain unix
things can handle this format, as can UNZIP for //e (attention II+
owners with 80col: i'm almost done patching it for us... it should be
ready in a few weeks. email me if you're interested.). ANGEL can also
handle .ZIP, and can do some limited .QWK stuff as well.
(ANGEL really does require a //e for some things, although it -should-
be patchable for a II+...)
if you're having problems, contact a friend who uses MSDOS (i.e. IBM or
compatible).
