The unrecoverable error could be  a lot of things.  In one case, I hadn't 
set up the receiving fax properly ( a 286) properly & it didn't answer the
phone...

I was helping someone with a ROM 03 GS Zip 9/64, 5 Megs RAM, and system 6.01.
We were able to receive a fax on his linelink modem & it was clear.  We 
only tried to send one multiple page fax & the 286 received four of the 
seven pages.

Still waiting to see what a faxination fax looks like on a real fax machine.
