Hey Dave,
Long time no see since I moved out of Wash Apple Pi land to the other
Washington.

Hopefully someone will answer you specifically about the ][e, but
perhaps this GS info is relevant.  The PCT will not read floppy drives
if the zip GS is above about 4mhz.  Everything else works on it and the
hard drive, but floppies (5.25 and 3.5 transdrives) give no read errors
with the zip at full speed. I use SWCP connected with Prosel to launch
the PCT so that it automatically disables the zip back to 2.8 mhz while
the PCT is active. It automatically goes back to 9mhz when I go back to
prodos.
