My user group went with First Class. (Partially because of a better GUI,
partially to support Canadian companies...). Yes, I've used better CLUIs, but
it IS usable.

I think that the way to go is to create a First Class front end for the GS,
using the Spectrum 2.0 scripting capabilities. My copy of Spectrum 2.0 is just
a few days old, but the demo script showed control over icons, buttons,
background pictures, dialogue buttons, windows with scrolling text, invoking
the text editor from a script and filling it with the buffer contents... What
is there that you CAN'T do with it?

The one thing holding me back is the necessity for learning the scripting
language first ;-)

Anyone else interested in this project, e-mail me. Collaboration is probably
the way to go.
