That really doesn't make much sense.  Formatting a HD disk as a
1.44MB disk won't make the disk any more incompatible with people's
systems than say formatting it as a 1.44MB HFS disk.  Basically,
you need a HD disk drive to read the disk.  The format is pretty
much irrelevant.  Both Macs and GSes can read 1.44MB ProDOS disks 
with the proper hardware.
