Both the Inner Drive and Vulcan used IDE type drives. The ROM on the card
was locked to a drive size with the vulcan. This may also be true of the
Inner Drive. However, the Vulcan Gold upgrade did not have this
limitation. The best advice I can give is to try to borrow someones drive
to test it. IDE drives have come down in price even more than SCSI, so
someone you know may have a 100 meg drive sitting around after upgrading
to a 540 or such.
