Menu program for ProDOS 8?

I'm looking for a program launcher for IIe and IIGS computers running off
an AppleShare file server.  I know Apple used to have a program called
Aristotle which would do everything I need, plus quite a bit more (I don't
need separate teacher/class menus, one size fits all is just fine), but I
don't think it's around any longer.  It wasn't that easy to use anyway. 
Password protection for menu modification would be a must.

I put together a quick BASIC program to do it, but it's not unhackable,
hard to modify the menu (for a non-programmer), and when the program
launched exits back to ProDOS (bye), it's not going to come back to the 
menu - at least not with my limited skills using Applesoft BASIC.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.  I'm out of options right now.
