Apple ROM cards

PC>Question: if I have an Apple firmware card that has the Autostart
PC>(Applesoft) ROMs on it (for use in the original ][), can I swap the ROMs

PC>If yes, do I need to swap all 6 chips, are just certain ones? The card

Yes you can. You need to swapp all (6) ROM chips since Applesoft uses D0-F0
and the Autostart ROM is F8.

PC>As I remember, the Integer card didn't use D8. Does that sound right?

Integer BASIC uses the E0-F0 ROMS; The Monitor (non-Autostart) ROM is F8. D0
was usually Apple's "Programmer's Aid #1" ROM. D8 was usually empty although
there were a couple of 3rd-party ROMs that would work here.
