Parallel ports

A lot of laser printers now come w/ serial and parallel ports built in so that
the user can decide which interface to use.
There are serial->parallel and parallel->serial converters available, but it
is a lot easier to hookup/maintain if you avaoid them.
I'd sugguest that you use a parallel interface if possible. You may also want
to invest in an external printer buffer (parallel interface buffers are quite
easy to find) to reduce the time that your computer is tied up sending data to
the printer.
