MIDI Surgeon, from GS+ Magazine Volume 5, Number 3 will do exactly what
you need.  Among other things, it allows you to load any raw MIDI data
file (from any computing platform) and save it as a SynthLab file.  The
cost is $10, and that includes the MIDI Surgeon program (complete with
source code), the issue of GS+ Magazine and a bunch of other great stuff
on the GS+ Disk.  To order it, give us a call at 1-800-662-3634 (9 am to 5
