Just when you thought it was safe to enter the newsgroup...;)
I have a ROM 1 with a hispeed SCSI card and a CDC 293Mb hard drive. I'm
going to be running either a GBBS or METAL BBS on this system. I need
to know what's the best way to set up the partitions seeing as how, as
far as I know, neither METAL nor GBBS can handle more than 7 partitions
at a time. Should I make the boot partition P8 and put the GS/OS
partitions on the far end, or should I do the reverse, or something
entirely different? Should I make all partitions the same (32.5Mb)
except the last one (which would come out to 30.5Mb), or should I have
7 partitions at the 32.5Mb size and the rest of the HD as one partition,
or what?
Or, am I missing some info, and there WOULD be a way to access the
entire 293Mb thru either BBS program?
Finally, would I want to do things any differently if I were running on
a 530Mb Fujitsu HD?
Give what you would like to receive,
Glenn
