The files seem to have a few extra bytes tacked on the front. If
you look at them, there should be a bunch of inverse '?'s and then
4 normal characters. I believe you have to lose all the characters
before the 4 normal ones. I don't remember the details, so you
would probably want to do this on a backup file until it works.
After you've gotten rid of the right characters, they work normally.
