Info needed on IIe emulator card

Where can I get information on using the Apple IIe emulator card?
Can someone point me to the right place in some archive?

Here's the problem.  I have a Mac LC (original), which I got in
part because there was a IIe card coming out for it. I got the
card as soon as it was available, and bought a suitable 5.25"
drive.  We used it some, but because there was no way to use the
hard disk, we gradually stopped using the IIe card.

Recently I was told that the current version of the IIe emulator
software CAN use a hard disk.  So I downloaded the software and
played with it, but couldn't figure out how to get it to see
a hard disk.  (I did find a dialog box that looked like it
would let me add three more drives by dragging icons into it,
but there were no drive icons available for the purpose.)

The software had a one-page information sheet with it that
mentioned a change to Chapter 4, but my IIe card manual has
only three chapters. 

Suggestions would be welcome.  Pointers to downloadable
documentation would be even more welcome.
