Merlin-8 for ProDOS requires 128k. Merlin-8 for DOS will work in 64k.
I've never used the 8-bit versions supplied with Merlin-8/16 - I used
Merlin Pro for a while, and "Big Mac" (DOS version of Merlin in
disguise) before that, but went straight to Merlin-16 when I got this
product.
