IIGS/MAC sharing printer

I know this has been discussed before but I never paid attention
because it didn't affect me but now it does.

I recently got a Mac Power PC.  I already have a IIGS with an
IW2 printer.  I would like to share the printer between both
computers.  What is the best way to do this?  Which computer
should the printer be hooked up to?  Right now they are in
two different rooms, how far apart can they be.
