Thanks for posting the RAMdisk info, David.  There's one thing I want to
amend/add to your post:

You are referring to the CV Tech 4 meg aux RAM card.  It has a slot
on it that allows you to connect another 4 meg RAM card to give you
a total of a full 8 megs of RAM on your GS.  I believe that you
could not just plug in any other 4 meg card... there is a list of
particular cards that will work with it. (info I don't have)

In addition to that card, Applied Engineering made a 6 meg RAM card
called the GS-RAM Plus.  It carries a full six megs of 1mb X 8 DRAM,
and contains a slot to add a 2 meg specialty RAM card to it... again,
to total a full eight megs.
